TULLAHOMA, TN (February 6, 2020) - Tennova Healthcare – Harton invites the community to participate in the February Health 2020 educational luncheon to learn about carotid artery stenosis (disease) and how a heart healthy diet can prevent or help slow down the progression of the disease.
Dinesh Gupta, M.D., cardiology, of Gupta Cardiology will furnish information regarding carotid artery stenosis, causes, medications and procedures relative to this disease. Dr. Gupta is a highly respected and experienced cardiologist in the region. We are fortunate to partner with Dr. Gupta during National Heart Month to help further promote the importance of heart health.
Angie Sowers, MS, RD, LDN, Director of Food & Nutrition Services with Morrison Healthcare at Tennova Healthcare – Harton will provide information on how to maintain a heart healthy diet utilizing low fat cooking and eating foods high in fiber. Angie also leads a free monthly class on Diabetes Management to the public.
The luncheon will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at noon in the Tennova Healthcare – Harton private dining room, 1801 North Jackson Street, Tullahoma.
